Timmy White, also known as TJ, is a senior at Blytheville High School. He attended Blytheville Schools until 5th grade, and then returned to attend BHS for his 10th-12th grade years. TJ is described as generous, intelligent, and hardworking. He says he enjoys school because he gets to learn new things and create memories. He also enjoys it when the school has events.
TJ is involved in some extracurricular activities including Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) and Target Club. He’s also a former member of Blytheville High School’s varsity basketball team.
After high school, TJ plans to attend college to pursue a business degree, with the goal of eventually starting his own clothing brand. His favorite memory at BHS was when he played basketball. In school, TJ says that Ms. Orissa Williams, the art teacher, has helped him the most, and his favorite subject is math.
TJ’s motivation is his family. He says, “I look up to my family because they always support me and show me what hard work means. Their love gives me confidence, and their guidance helps me make good choices.” He went on to say, “The strong bond we share makes me feel connected and gives me a sense of belonging.”
If TJ could go back to the 9th grade and change anything, it would be the effort he gave. He wished that he would have tried harder, but he still had a good time. An important lesson that he learned during his time in high school was, “Always be yourself no matter what.” Some advice that he wants to share with the underclassmen is, “Don’t hang with the wrong people.”
