Recognizing that education is of paramount importance to the future of Arkansas and the Nation, Governor Asa Hutchinson along with the State Board of Education have officially declared the month of January, 2017 as School Board Member Recognition Month.
The Blytheville School District is proud to recognize our dedicated Blytheville School Board members. Our board is made up of 8 exceptional members:
Tommy Bennett
Erin Carrington
Billy Fair
Tobey Johnson
Tracey Ritchey
Henrietta Watt
Barbara Wells
As elected officials, School Board members are a voice in our community, committed to serve as advocates for our children and our schools. In recent months, our School Board has been hard at work discussing upcoming changes in facilities and growth for the Blytheville School District. This is just one example of the critical responsibilities they carry with them each day, along with the roles they play within the community and their own jobs. Our School Board members are dedicated to the success of our children and show their loyalty to that commitment daily. It is vital that our children are shown how to be productive citizens and the leaders of tomorrow. Our board members pave the way for that vision to become a reality as they shoulder the weight of important decisions being made on behalf of Blytheville Schools. School Board Recognition Month is a perfect opportunity to show your appreciation to our members for their hard work and dedication to creating the best possible school district here in Blytheville. We are thankful and blessed to have these 8 outstanding members working with Chickasaw Pride as our School Board this year!
